The Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet Named Open-Top Car of The Year
The Volkswagen Golf cabriolet was presented at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. It is fitted with an electrically-powered fabric roof, fully lowered in 9.5 seconds at speeds of up to 18mph.
Three engine options are available for the Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet, two petrol - a 1.2-litre TSI 105 PS and 1.4-litre TSI 160 PS – and one diesel, a 1.6-litre common rail TDI unit with 105 PS and BlueMotion Technology offering 64.2mpg on the combined cycle and carbon dioxide emissions of 117g/km.

2012 Volkswagen Passat Highlights
Engine: The 2012 Volkswagen Passat is offered in a 2.5L engine, 3.6L V6 engine and a 2.0L TDI® Clean Diesel engine. The 2.5L engine with five-cylinder manual transmission offers 21 city and 32 highway MPG, 170 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque. The 2.0L TDI Clean Diesel engine manual transmission achieves an estimated 31 MPG city and 43 MPG highway - with an 18.5 gallon tank that means the driver can travel up to 795 miles on one tank of fuel - and produces 140 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. The 3.6L V6 engine produces 280 hp and 265 lb-ft torque and achieves an estimated 20 MPG city and 28 MPG highway. Volkswagen also offers an available DSG® automatic transmission, which is one of the fastest-shifting transmissions available, and the analysts at NADAguides found it to offer smoother shifting than previous models.
